To accelerate the cultivation of new drivers for foreign trade and promote the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce, the 2025 Shandong Cross-Border E-Commerce Ecosystem Conference, co-hosted by the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province and the Yantai Municipal People's Government, was successfully held in Yantai on October 24. At the conference, the Case Collection on Innovative Development of Cross-Border E-Commerce + Industrial Clusters in Shandong Province was released. Meanwhile, a batch of famous cross-border e-commerce brands and characteristic industrial cluster workstations were awarded plaques, demonstrating the phased achievements of Shandong in brand cultivation and industrial agglomeration. In her speech, Wang Hong, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, emphasized that the Department of Commerce would fully implement the decisions and arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, and continue to focus on three key directions:
Adhere to innovation-driven development, deepen the integration of "cross-border e-commerce + industrial clusters", and cultivate internationally renowned brands;
Consolidate the industrial ecosystem, improve element services such as logistics and talents, and promote the functional upgrading of overseas warehouses;
Expand opening-up and cooperation, and on the basis of consolidating traditional markets, vigorously expand emerging markets such as the "Belt and Road" and RCEP.

On-site, Du Guochen, Director of the Institute of E-Commerce under the Research Institute of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce, gave an in-depth interpretation around Trends and Policies for the Development of Cross-Border E-Commerce. He put forward professional suggestions on how to seize market opportunities, enhance digital operation capabilities, and optimize the layout of industrial and supply chains, providing forward-looking thinking directions for the participants.

In addition, representatives from internationally renowned platforms such as eBay, Coupang, Yandex, and Google focused on the core challenges of brand globalization. They shared systematic solutions around key links including market selection, traffic acquisition, localized operations, and data-driven decision-making.
