Applications of PPGI - Color Steel Tiles
CONSMOS GROUP
Color steel tiles, also known as color profiled tiles, are made of color-coated steel sheets through roll forming and cold bending into various wave patterns. They are applicable to industrial and civil buildings, warehouses, special buildings, etc., as well as roofing, wall surfaces, and interior and exterior wall decorations of large-span steel structure residential buildings. They are widely used due to their light weight, high strength, rich colors, convenient and quick construction, earthquake resistance, fire resistance, rain resistance, long service life, and maintenance-free properties.
Characteristics of color steel tiles
①Light weight: 10-14 kg/m², equivalent to 1/30 of a brick wall.
②Thermal conductivity: λ ≤ 0.041 W/(m·K).
③High strength: It can be used as a load-bearing panel for ceiling enclosure structures, with bending and compression resistance; generally, no beams or columns are needed for houses.
④Bright color: No surface decoration is required, and the anti-corrosion layer of color galvanized steel sheets can last for 10-15 years.
⑤Flexible and quick installation: The construction period can be shortened by more than 40%.
Classification of color steel
①The base plates of color steel tiles can be divided into cold-rolled base plates, hot-dip galvanized base plates, and electro-galvanized base plates.
②The coating types of color steel tiles can be divided into: polyester, silicon-modified polyester, polyvinylidene fluoride, and plastisol.
③The colors of color steel tiles can be divided into many types according to users' requirements, such as orange, cream yellow, deep sky blue, sea blue, crimson, brick red, ivory, porcelain blue, etc.
④The surface states of color steel tiles can be divided into coated plates, embossed plates, and printed plates.
⑤The market applications of color-coated steel tiles are mainly divided into three parts: construction, home appliances, and transportation. Among them, the construction sector accounts for the largest proportion, followed by the home appliance industry, and the transportation industry accounts for a relatively small part.
Application of color steel tiles--construction
Color steel tiles for construction are usually made of hot-dip galvanized steel sheets and hot-dip aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets as base materials, mainly processed into corrugated sheets or composite sandwich panels with polyurethane. They are applied to the roofing, walls, gates, etc. of industrial and commercial buildings such as steel structure workshops, airports, warehouses, freezers, etc. Color steel tiles for home appliances are usually made of electro-galvanized sheets and cold-rolled sheets as base plates for manufacturing refrigerators, large air-conditioning systems, freezers, bread makers, and furniture. In the transportation industry, electro-galvanized sheets and cold-rolled sheets are usually used as base plates, mostly for the manufacture of oil pans and automotive interior parts.
